Hiking trail on the Niagara falls

Besides the panoramic views, restaurants and gambling opportunities, Niagara Falls offers great hiking. The favorite trail begins just 10 minutes drive from the famous Niagara Falls, the Niagara River. This trail is part of the Niagara Glen Nature Reserve maintained by the Government, and this reserve has free parking, laundry facilities, benches and watch points.

The trail follows the river Niagara Falls, which separates Canada from the United States, and it's pretty cool to see the foreign country to the other side of the River. In fact, I would say that the Niagara River forming a mini-canyon, with a relatively high flows from the main road. You can create different loops in this way, but I prefer to go in the opposite direction clockwise at the spa right and top of the rim.

Thus begins the journey with a sharp drop in the famous Whirlpool, where the Niagara River is a 90-degree turn toward Lake Ontario. This place is known among anglers, particularly in the fall season.

You can also observe a large quantity of water passing through the narrow sections of river. The track has a lot of big rocks over time falls from the top of the rim. Over time, these rocks get in a patch of plants that cover them from top to bottom. I even like most famous stone Flowerpot to the Bruce Peninsula.

At some point you have the feeling that the place is a battlefield bombarded with large stones. The river is also used by Whirlpool Jet boats offer an exciting flying through the rapids. Personally, I like to see them, rather than being part of the trip. The path with jumps and beautiful maple trees, and even more beautiful in autumn.

Be prepared to climb moderately difficult to get on top of the rim. Once there, you'll be rewarded with beautiful views and asphalt walkway. Overall, this magnificent course that can be used as a half-day to a day of your stay in Niagara Falls.
